Health
You’ve all heard the phrase, “If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything.” Well, that’s not quite true. You still have your life, but as Gilda Radner titled her book “It’s always something.” It’s always going to be something. When you find yourself in poor health, it can make all other parts of life more complicated, more stressed and just not as much fun. I firmly believe in taking the time to work on our personal health. That’s what this blog is about.
Reminders
I love being reminded of the basics of life, found in the simple, the everyday. That’s what this blog is about. In the meantime, books that I’ve found to be great reminders are:
- “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten,” by Robert Fulghum
- “Tuesdays with Morrie,” by Mitch Albom
- “Wherever You Go, There You Are,” by Jon Kabat–Zinn
Soulful
I’m really drawn to the topic of soul or soulfulness, anything about the soul. As I learned from Thomas Moore, the soul needs attachment to a place, to people, to friends. Our souls are about depths of feeling, depths of thought, and depths of emotion. That’s what this blog is about.
